Client is one of the fastest growing Health Care center organization based in USA having more than 300 employers as their clients. They offered occupational health programs for employers and used to generate medical test reports for various companies for all their prospective employees. This process used take place as a manual operation at first. The client wanted an easier way of rendering his services to his customers, which suggested that they go in for a Web based model.
 
Background:
 
This is a online application which deals with dry tests, modified/physical examination, DOT physical examination, Audiometric tests and Respirator evaluation testing.
This application is a bequest application that resides on any machines and windows servers. This application contains all the information about client's groups, search results, activity reports, billing reports, inquiry trend report, and drug screen statistics. It also has the user creation, permission related to its clients. This application interacts with web application, lab soft wares and various other systems.
 
 
 
Business Problem:
 
Over the years the client's business has grown a lot and to remain competitive, enhancements are made to its occupational programs. Our client had following strategic needs and objectives.

Solution was to develop an online health program management system, such that employers may manage their comprehensive occupational health programs entirely over the Internet.

The Solution:
 
A Health program management system was developed. SGS Technologie worked in conjunction with client managers to find solutions to the above mentioned improvement areas and problems. SGS Technologie suggested use of the Oracle 8i relational database to create a database for the program. This database could then be integrated with front-end application, which was designed using JSP, Servlets.
 
Features:
 
An admin module had to be developed where each patient’s test results may be updated. A client module had to be developed where a username and password would be provided for each client who wished to avail the service.
With this program employers can manage their comprehensive occupational health programs entirely over the Internet.
Other features include the ability to view test results, view injury treatment records, generate customized reports, create users with access limited by function, receive random selections and much more.
This procedure was successfully developed as an online procedure, in contrast to the earlier manual operation.

Back End Developments:
Database Development
SGS Technologie decided to create new Oracle database for the client for handling his e-Business requirements. This database could be used as an operational data store for their reporting needs as well. Our development team at SGS executed the end-to-end development of Oracle database for the Health Program management system.
 
The SGS team followed standard database development project life cycle:
 
Creation of the data model- SGS team created an entity-relations (ER) data model for the new database. The team mapped all the fields to related table column entry definitions and team put in all relational integrity constraints applicable to the Health program management system
 
Design Oracle database based data store - SGS team designed the database structure, did estimations about disk space, designed indexes and rollback segments, provided Oracle DBA support, and created scripts for table structure generation.
